Hi

ever since I saw SPK's results I wanted to do something like this. The problem was I couldnt find a good screen and mirror. Now that I have found a 67" screen and mirror from an old RPTV I can start the project. First I wanted to use a DIY beamer with a short throw but although SPK's results look amazing a 15" DIY beamer only has about 150-200 ansilumen and a contast of 300:1-500:1.
I cant use a normal 3-LCD or DLP beamer because of the long throw so I started looking for a good crt projector.
Well okay... go for crt, have a contrast of 15.000:1, 1280x1024 P-scan, 1000 peaklumens, relatively short throw and still a good price. The only problem is to fit it behind the screen. I have my eyes on a few that are on sale here in Belgium (and Holland) so I keep this up to date as soon as I have found my projector.

Here are the pictures of my screen and mirror:

screen 137 x 103 cm (67" 4:3)

mirror 128 x 97 cm

I dont have them yet, they are still with the seller. But I can pick them up whenever I want.

At this moment my choice goes out to a Barco retrodata 708s (1000Lm, 15 000:1, 1280x1024p). This one is specially mode for RPTV's and comes out of this one: http://www.barco.com/corporate/en/Products...asp?element=309
The "form" and dimensions of this projector are perfect for my project, it also has a very short throw.
