WOO HOO!!! I did a test of my projector tonight with my new focusing assembly. WOW windows desktop 78"x56"! wide screen dvd 78"x36" (Only projecting from 7' or so as a test) projecting onto a sort of white quilt don't have any WHITE walls!!!

No pictures yet, wife is out of town with the digital camera sad.gif

But I did notice my front fresnel mount is toooooo tall have to rework that to lower it so I can get a top of the box!

Had to watch Finding Nemo, WOW too bad I am home alone... kids would have loved it!

Just have to say WOW again!

Thanks Brain! great site when I first started lookig into projectors I found the lens over a tv junk and then stumbled into your site! great day that turned out to be!

Have to compile a total cost of the box (haven't gotten a N6 yet) but it should be less than $350

My panel died! I was watching a movie on some new blackout cloth I bought when the output went white. Checked my laptop, it worked on another monitor, with the signal cable unplugged I don't even get the 'NO connection check cable' message on the lcd screen :-(

I checked the cables, grounds, etc. a little pissed and very sad . might have to wait awhile before I can get the funding back to buy a new panel

Maybe it is just your control board. The power of the lumenlab board may be able to find you a new one. These guys can find anything. See if you can find out what went wrong so it dosen't happen again. Don't give up yet, wait to see what the community says about it. Good Luck.

It is a Samsung 151S I ohm'd out the extension cable from 1 board to the other, it checks out. Anyone have a control board for a 151s?

If it is your control board you may be able to get that monitor on ebay with a cracked screen or something. They go pretty cheap for parts; its a risk but may be a good option. I am concerned why the board may have fried in the first place.

Really sorry to hear what happened Randy

I've been watching your progress with the samsung 151s as this is the monitor I'm going to be using, do you have any idea what caused the problem ?

I was a bit worried about my choice as the only thing I found about the quality
( after I bought it of course ) was by a guy at DIYaudio who was not happy. From your posts though it seems like this monitor gave very good results.
Hopefully its not terminal.

Good luck

Trying to do a post mortem on it. The only thing I can see is the 2nd fresnel frame is metal and I had not mounted to securely and during tilting trying to fill my screen it must have shifted over and shorted the board *ARGH!!! * the 1st revision of the fresnel fram I insulated with electrical tape, but must have gotten in too big of a hurry and forgot to insulate it! speed kills!

it is dead , not sure if I want to take it out and SMASH it into tiny little pieces or what.

And to save yourself the agony of using the 151s you could just mail it to me. I will sacrifice myself to keep you from possibly not liking the 151s.

I don't know if this is any help to you at all, but you might want to check it out. Its not the exact model number as yours but it may have interchangable parts.
