ok nearly finished my pj now but my monitors resolution is only 640x480 so everything is squashed up icons are too big as is the tool bar, and because everything is so big i loose some of the contents of my desktop and the toolbar is totaly filled up.
Is there any way of making things smaller?
eg. have the res as 800x600 but tell the monitor that its 640x480(without cutting the sides of)
any ideas???

I know that there was a setting on some of the NVidia cards I've had that you could
set the usable area of the screen and the virtual area could be bigger... kind of a
pain to use, though. Sorry I can't be more help.

erm.. the tool bar fills up the entire 640x480 screen? you sure it isn't dragged way up. Also, you can srhink the size of icons to normal size in display options
