hi what is the big diffrence i bought a qa 1200 thats has a resolution of 640x480 1.7million colors but am thinking about buying a sharp qa 1600 that zooms to 800 and produces 16.7million colors. Now should i buy the panel will i see a big diffrence in the panels or should i just try and strip a lcd screen? I just want something good for watching my sporting events i have a elmo 2850 400 watt 36v bulb 5000lumen. Please need some advice this site this forum is so awesome i just wish i could learn how to build these awesome diy projects like you guys

what is the my easiest lcd computer to strip?

Don't struggle with them

, just buy the new Lumenlab Projector (it's comin' in 2 months). If you don' t want to buy it, then go for QA 1600 one. Because 800x600 pixels resolution and 16.7 million colors is kind of good reason to buy it (if there is no astronomical price difference with QA 1200).
And you should modify your overhead projector to use some 150W Osram Powerball MH bulb (or 400W HQI) ; if you want to get reasonable luminosity.

Ok, ok, ok, I'm not trying to be nic picky, but you mean QA-1650 right? Not a QA-1600, I don't think there was a 1600. To be honest, I really liked the QA-1650. It had really good color, RCA, S-Video, and Computer input. The last movie I used it for was The Incredibles, looked real good. You'll find a real advantage hooking it up to the computer and using the video settings to control the image that way. Not the best contrast ratio, but what did in that series. Easy to strip and Mount.

go for the 1650, i have a 1700 and a 2500, both are good panels.
