My plan is to build a projector based on a 15" monitor,
due to less space in my living room :angry: is it possible
to watch wide screen movies with a 15" monitor, or shold/ must
i use a 17" monitor for this

I use a 15" 1024x768 panel to watch widescreen movies, and I think it is just fine. Makes you really work on the light control around the edges, though. The black bars on top and bottom need to be really black, so you have to block the light around the top and the bottom of the panel, and really darken the chamber between the fresnels and the triplet.
