The DIY Projector store used to have available an infrared blocking heat reducing glass. Is that still available from somewhere?

Thanks,
GARY

tons of places around the net, but I don't know of any specifically. google 'hot mirror'
Durachko
Materials that truly, efficiently block IR and not visible wavelengths aren't cheap. Make certain what you purchase is worth it. A 5 x 5 inch "hot mirror" will set you back $50 bucks minimum unless you're REALLY lucky and make a great "find".

Actually, I'm looking to use this for another purpose other than a projector so I don't need first rate top quality glass. The glass that used to be on the DIY Projector site was reasonably priced and sufficient for my needs.

I need a piece of 1/8" glass that's approximately 10" x 20".

I did do the google search for HOT MIRROR and I got a lot of info on the subject but not places to buy it.

Durachko did a spectral scan of that DIY glass some months ago, didn't perform very well.
Off and on I've looked for IR blocking glass large enough to cover an LCD. The only thing
I could find is low-e window glass that *might* work. Perhaps a window repair shop has
some scrap of that available.
