I have started building my pj couple of days ago - soon a plog to come - in my apartment. I have very basic tools and the dinning table as my workbech.

I am trying to build it as adjustable as I can to align the elements later on but this is not always possible ... I am assuming my first images are going to comeout pretty nasty and when that happens after I cry like a little girl and sob with my head between my knees, I'd like to try to make it better ... so than I ask, how do you know where the problem is ?

(ofcourse trial and error is always an option, but there has to be a better/easier way ....)

Come here with pics and a description of your setup.
Whatever questions you have we are here for ya.
Don't down it yet.
My first thoughts on my projection was of awe not ire.
Build it adjustable and true and you should be fine.

I think its a question of just troublesooting your symptoms, I don't think theres really any ONE answer.

ie
Is the image trapezoid in shape? keystoning
Is the color off? calibration, lightbulb
Is the focus off? adjust triplet
...etc

Make sure your triplet is pointing out with the flange toward the lamp.

I'm looking at this design right now as one possibility. Not just the small size vertical box which looks great but also the flexible inside adjustments.
