Ok I got my $12.50 X2gen 15" LCD Panel from ebay (plus $30 shipping!!!) and proceded to cut the FFC between the controller electronics and the LCD panel!

Ouch!

I feel so stupid.


SO I tried hooking up another LCD panel from a laptop to the driver electronics but the arrangement of the control wires must be different even thought the plug was teh same.

I tried doing a search on the Hitachi website for the datasheet for the LCD panel - no luck

And I tried finding a datasheet on the control electronics ... because I thought there might be a way to mate this control board with teh NEC laptop LCD I have... but I can't find it.

SO this is a longshot to see if anyone has any resources.
