I'm new here, but have had a projector since 1993. My first DIY attempt was around 1992. I have not completed a diy projector yet, but have done a diy screen. I wrote a pdf on how I did it. Perhaps I'll post a link in the near future.
Here is a quick list of the DIY stuff I have done.
Made my own speakers. A great way to get some fanastic sounding speakers at a low price. I'm no tech I just did some on-line reading and bought a book.
DIY screen. I used art canvas? They have different grades, bu it works really well. You can get a pre-framed on just by the material.
DIY Projector. Well, it's an on-going experient.
