Hey, purchased a projector someone else built (complete diy 7 "lcd projector) off the old site. The LCD arrived broke sad.gif and I had to use a low res LCD I had on hand to reassemble. I really don't like the pixelation I get from my current set up. Does anyone know of a 7" hi res LCD?

I would like to upgrade this part before starting over from scratch.

The highest resolution 7" is the Lilliput Widescreen at 800x480.
The second is the Lilliput 7" at 640x480.

Would it possible to put an 8" lcd in the projector instead of a 7"? If so, you could get an 8" Hami lcd, which has a native resolution of 800x600.

If not, then the Lilliput is your best bet.

There's been a recent report around the LL community that a 7.1" 1080p lcd is being released (by Sanyo I think). I couldn't find the link but it's very recent...as in this past week.

It will probably be quite a while until the new device is out there, and certainly will be a while until it is affordable. But there's certainly hope for the future.

I believe this is the article you were referring to. . .

Of course, I don't think anyone has even attached a price tag to this lcd yet, and you can be sure that once it is for sale to the general public, it will cost a pretty penny. . .
