Blake, do you have a control test setup? I know when I had my monitor pre-stripped, I made sure that I got a good image from another computer. Then, after I pulled the guts out, I retested the guts attaching them in the same manner before I even approached the AG-strip step or putting it in a frame for the PJ.
Did any of them work prior to the more advanced steps?
I know how frustrated you must be. Hang in there, guy.
Dont give up hope! First thing is to verfiy your signal source. Make sure that you are actually getting signal. I had a friend who returned three monitors because he could not get any signal to his DVI. Turns out he forgot to turn it on...whoops!
Not saying you are stoopid, but its usually a very small thing. Do you have a friend who can come over and have a look? I always say an extra set of eyes is crucial to problem solving.
Other things to check for:
Small bridges between boards.
Loose cable connections.
Grounding.
Try plugging the backlight in again.
Test it on a different circuit with no company.
Do you see ANY indication it is getting power?
Does it have a power brick? Is the light on?
Get a multimeter and check the input plug. Got juice?
With the monitor ON, check the leads to the backlight. Juice?
With monitor and signal on, try switching between the vid inputs on the control panel. Make sure your monitor signal is around 60hz in case the panel is having trouble adapting.
Trust me, its something small and its right there just dont give in to frustration. Get cold and methodical. Use your frustration to strengthen your resolve, have an aspirin, then start slowly and see what comes up. I bet you find it soon.
