I just wanted to start my thread as I now have enough to really get going. I just recieved my box today that I ordered from HJS Productions. I also have my lenses, Light bulb and Norpro bowl. Unfortunatly I got my 15" LCD from Techbench but I had a bright red stuck pixel so I have sent it back for an exchange. Now I just need my balast and to get my LCD back.

whats the resolution on that panel? the dead pixel is huge!!!! anyways, after seeing your box, you sold me on the pre-built one. does he pre-drill anything, or cut away any spaces in the box to mount fresnel, lcd, etc?

It has a resolution of 1024x768.
The box came to me just as you see it. No mountings for the frensel but the slot is cut in the top for airflow over the LCD panel. I need to do alot of finishing to the box though.

Just a note to say that I know the panel needs to be inverted. I was just mounting it rightside up for testing.

Hi,
Can you put a picture of how you mounted the ballast and capacitor? Also if you can share the dimensions of your box.
I have trouble fitting the ballast in the same box and am thinking of moving it out to a separate box.

The Box from HJS is real nice. Good and solid construction. I just wish he would have put centering marks on the boards but I was able to figure it out.

Here is some better detail of my LCD mounting. I took apart the screen, removed the backlight and cut the back plastic out with a dremel tool. Then I put it back together in the metal frame and mounted it to a wooden frame I built.

Nice work . I have the same Ballast , and I plan on mounting it outside the box . A paper came with it stating it's recommended to be mounted away from the lamp , that it will prolong the life of the ballast .. Not to mention it will keep the inside of the box cooler .. Has anyone else mounted this ballast outside the box ?
The pic's look great !! I hope mine turns out that good ..
