As i'm getting down to this key step in my PJ progress, I just wanted to find out the definitive way to place the LCD panel. Do I want to have a slit the size of the panel itself cut into the sled, and then slide the panel into that? The problem I have with this is that it forces me to bend the side connectors so that they fit with the panel into this slit (not sure if this is potentially a terrible idea). However, i don't have any other ideas as to how I could mount this panel effectively withOUT having to bend the side connectors.
How does everyone else keep their lcd in place? Thanks!
the side connectors can probably be bent 360*. Flexing them is never a problem -- pulling them is where people get in trouble. but assuming the FCCs are connected to the very edge of the panel, I would avoid "squishing" them by shoving the panel down a slit. I would use a slit on one side and the top, a flat piece on the bottom with grooves cut out for the FCCs. On the side I would probably do the same but I would use some sort of clamp to hold the panel in place

slits in the wood on top and right side. flat piece on bottom for panel to rest on with grooves cut out so the FCCs arn't squished. Same on the left side but pieces off wood screwed over the edge to hold it in place.
