Hello!

I am a brand new member and I can't wait to start constructing one of these bad boys.

I am completely new to working with electronics but I know the basics. I would prefer the easiest option available though. So, which LCD is 'THE MONITOR' that i will have no trouble with stripping, that alot of people have used before and had good results with? I would really like a list of good LCD's to use as I've been scanning ebay and found loads of cheap ones but don't know if they are sutable.

Also, I live in England and was wondering whether anyone else has come across a good retailer who is available to the UK?

Really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Some good UK sources are in the 'Uk Compatible Monitors' thread. I used the BenQ fp557s v2, bought from Insight. It's a doddle to strip.

And thanks aqua, I'll add that link to it wink.gif

...Hmm, maybe not. Aqua, have you got the exact link for it? I can't get www.eatford.co.uk to load huh.gif

Oh, i forgot to ask, has anyone actually shopped at more computers? unsure.gif Is it reputable? delivery speed, etc..?

Thanks

Good stuff wink.gif

I'm not sure about more computers, are you thinking about definitely buying from them? £200 sounds too good to be true.

Make sure it's a V2 model, as the contrast ratio is higher.

I think that was a typo that was supposed to read www.watford.co.uk. They have it for £191.53 which would make it the cheapest one on the uk monitor list.

Hi all, I have just spotted these on ebay and they look pretty good for the price of £255. the inclusion of a TV Tuner, DVI socket and 2 Scart sockets removes the need for the N6 or N5-2 too.

Note he also has 20, 23 ans 30" versions too.

Not sure if it has any FFC problems though. I would seriously be considering getting one of these if I hadn't already bought and disected by CMV.

Cheers
