How about this one from ebay. (Venture $75.00)

smile.gif Yeh, thanks willy.
A bit of a look around that site also came up with a clear
400w MH bulb for $65 ,ballast is $95 and lamp holder
$30. The lamp holder seems a bit steep maybe I can get a cheaper
one locally at Turks.

Any other ideas people?
Thanks for the feedback so far

Pulled apart my monitor yesterday, an Acer 512.
It has the right angle FFC prolem, but a cable is
available from LL.
I also managed to remove the AG layer, and it left behind a few marks and slightly sticky
any recomendations for cleaning?
I carefully cut out the metal back frame for LCD and put it back together, looks pretty good.

Be careful, most of these aquarium lamps have a very high colour temp, 10000 to 20000 Kelvin, way too blue for our pjs.

Good luck. :)

Thanks for the help there, I went to my local Turks today and
bought a highbay light for $144.00. The bloke was kind enough to
swap the large frosted bulb that came with the light fitting for a clear tube style.

So I am just waiting for the lenses to arrive and I can get started on the enclosure.
