I used your index to determin wich moniter to buy. I purchased the NEC 1560m ,as your index said no ffc issues. i dissasembled it today and it has a ffc connection that is an issue. I searched for that model on the forum today and found it in a topic listed under nonusable moniters with ffc issues.
So im wondering about the contradictory statements,as this makes picking the right moniter quite difficult and here are some pictures of the issue, maybe someone can help ma solve the issue. Maybe i can buy an extension or something. soildering seams out of the question.



the connector it is supposed to connect to

As far as i can tell it is a .5mm with 16 pins. Digikey only offers a 15 pin and an 18 pin going by the pdf catalog. can i use an 18 and just cut off 2 wires or something? or is there another source for a 16 pin? Do the extension cables from digikey come with a connecter on one side or do i have to purchase some kind of coupler?

Thanks , someone just told me that LL sells what i need. I dont know why i was under the impression that they didn't. Maybe its the tons of feedback about the ffc issue. Now that i know they sell extensions im not sure what the big deal is
