Click to view attachmentOk, everyone I'm sure this has been asked before, but How can I make a pair of these?

"Apparently the most powerful binoculars ever made for personal use, it is capable of seeing the whites of a bird’s eye from over 500 yards away. An object 5 miles away will seem close enough to touch when viewed. You can even use this pair to kickstart the astronomy hobby that you’ve put off for so long. This pair of $137 binoculars magnifies between 20 and 140 times closer, with 70 times more light coming into its 70mm lens."

Would it be DIY cost effective?

Binocular modifications are a whole addiction by themselves. You can check out a whole bunch of different sites dedicated to mods for binocs. Some people are as heavily into it as we are here. For the casual user a pair of pre made binocs are great. Its once you start realizing EXACTLY wahat you need that the DIY aspect comes in. For some the savings are worth the trouble, but optics are selective and you may spend more time than you wish chasing down parts. In the end it balances to your worth per hour/cost of item over DIY. Check out www.telescope.com for a looksee at binoculars for enthusiasts...you will see what I mean.

Thats a military grade MCC ( motion compensation chip) You were actually using a digital processor inside your binos. Commercial apps like that include that new panasonic steady cam. Same principle but the chip isnt nearly as powerful. Did you get a chance to try the differential heat signature mode?
