They say that men think about sex every 6 seconds, well with me it isn't sex I think about it's projectors!. Yes it is that bad! I am constantly checking luman lab and all in box every spare second I have to see if there are any updates. I probably spend more time reading elkens ceremic lamp thread than I do with my poor girlfriend who I live with! When I am in college I spend most of the time looking at their tft displays and pondering if they would be suitable for our needs, easy to strip etc when I should be doing work. It has got so bad that when i am lost in thought staring into space my girlfriend would say "thinking about projectors again".... And the other day when I was in the doctors surgery I was wondering if the wall was white enough to produce a decent picture...

I read the forums around 20 times a day I think. lmao, I quit playing World of Warcraft so I could keep up on here! Haven't played it in 29 days... /flex

You don't have to have actually built a projector to be a projectaholic. Just thinking about it all the time and planning it , and figuring out where to get parts, and wondering about if you want to go split or unsplit fresnels,
and noticing how reflective the curb paint is and if it would make a good screen,
and trying to find spectrum information on a bulb you are thinking about trying.....I was a projectaholic for two years before I ever built one.

Well, just check your garage.
Even though I've not been able to scrounge the time to work on my projector for weeks I still think about it constantly. It's a nice mental diversion if nothing else.

It all started about a month ago when i saw a post on hack a day... from thier it was toms post and from thier i arrived here at LL my house of worship my synagogue my altar my temple my sanctuary my little happy place to go to when my wife beat me unmercyful. Good sweet lord I want to climb to the top of the highest mountain and squeel at the top of my lungs lie a litle school girl Lumenlab's I love you and I want the whole world to know you and you alone have saved me from the cold dark clutches of small tiny tv's that cost to much and the bad credit that goes along with them....

I built bows last year, I think i will build a hovercraft my senoir year to drive over our memorial lake that is
not suppose to be swum in.

They can't get mad if I'm not swimming, but hovering.
I get irritated when I'm in lecture and the pj is hotspotting

Yeah I'm the same with all DIY basically. My gf calls it my "Nerdy Time". Its the girls fault I tell ya. Before a gf, Everything i think about projectors, i would think about a girl. Which would would render the best enjoyment, which would be easier to strip, and and constantly looking for any possible upgrade!

No, I've been dating my gf for 2 years now, she knew the type of person i was from day one, so this is nothing new. Hey it's this or alcoholism. Either way, it'll drive you broke.

Hello, my name is x_25 and I am a projectaholic.
I am constantly looking at anything that is somewhat white and wondering if it would make a good screen. Last time i wnt o walmart with my family i made a be-line for the fabrick section. I hace spoted a lens at 50ft away though a croud and had to go check it out. (was a rear projection tv lens, guy wanted $25 for it and it just wasnt worth it.) I think my wors problem is that i spend at least 4 hours a day on LL.

My light source is on its way.
I am going to make some FS mirrors this weekend.
I started striping my screen.
I spent a good portion of last week working out HTPC solutions Vs. a tuner box for my LCD for WAF compatiblility.
I measure my LCD at least once a day for some strange reason.
I don't have a problem.

I think Arizonavideo's projector can do 300" plus if i remember. There was a picture where the projection was as tall as his house. And i am only going to have a 113" projection, but that will be in my bedroom and watchable from my bed. Breakfast in bed with a move maby?

Have you found your bed yet? Last i heard you were in the midst of cleaning, found a few UEO's. And had the leaning tower of tubs collapse.

Actually, i burried my bed so i can work on the other side of the room, The tubs have moved, my desk has moved and i am working on making space for my bookshelf and setting up my stereo so i can watch movies on my projector again. I am beginning to go threw the symptoms of projector withdraw.

when i was 12 years old, my room looked like that. I'd be confined to my room until it was clean. Id spend months at a time in there. Until one day my father came in with a bucket and a shovel. I came home from school, my room was clean, and there was 11 trashbags full of my stuff on the front lawn. Needless to say, I kept it reasonable from that point on.

Hello, my name is iPO and I'm definitely a projectaholic. I've been a member for almost a year now and I've pretty much been on this site everyday since I joined.
I've lost many hours of sleep thinking about projectors. I get all my ideas right before I go to sleep. I end thinking so much about something projector-related, that I am more awake and alert lying in bed than when I was stumbling upstairs to bed, half asleep.
Another thing... I now know the layout of both hardware stores in my area so well that I could draw you a map of their floor plans. This is due to my wandering the aisles getting ideas and looking for parts that will work with the build. I am at either store at least once a week.
It is definitely an addiction.
