I made the ole "lcd with an overhead laid on it" but my lcd died. That was some time ago. Now I'm starting a new projector with a psone screen. I need help choosing the fresnal and the triplet (or other lens). I haven't decide between split or not. I have an Infocus 79" widescreen projection screen. I figured that the largest 4:3 image I could project on this screen would have a 65" diagonal (39" Vertical 52" Horizontal). My questions are should I use split or unsplit? What Fresnals and triplet should I choose. I am working with an 8' throw distance max. More than likely my light source will be a modified halogen work light with a hemispherical reflector (metal ladle).
Thanks in advance for your help.

i dont know if i need keystoning? I hadn't plan on projecting at an angle. But from what i saw of the focal lenght calculator i could get a larger image at the same throw length with a single fresnal lens.

So i was thinking of using this lens in place of a triplet for now.
with 2 280mm fl fresnals. Will this work? I was going to use a split design with 20 mm in between the fresnals and the lcd.
I was thinking about using this socket but i can't figure out what bulb to use from this sight that will be of high enought power.

I'm gonna use a ladle for a hemispherical reflector if i use this light.
