I finished up a project I've been playing with on and off for a while (mostly). Still need to mount a sheet of glass on top and a couple other things, but for the most part it's done. This way I don't have to turn on the projector to use my computer/TV... and besides, it's just plain cool.

nice work!! i'd seal that good and water tight. never know whats going to be put/dropped/spilled on it

any plans to mod your table and put the Pj inside? how is the keystoning that low to the ground? i tried to do a coffee table mounted PJ but there was too much keystone and it killed the idea..

how big is your screen? looks like you have a very short throw.

I don't think I'll mod the table to put the projector in it... just not enough room in this table. I have been considering making another projector that matches my furnature though.

I've angled the front fresnel in the projector so there's not really any noticeable keystoning. I haven't measured it since I rearranged to this setup, but the screen is a good 5 1/2 feet wide at least. It's hard to tell with the perspective in the photo, but the throw is probably around 6 feet. Maybe a little more.

That's very similar to something I was thinking of for a desk project. What
I was also going to do was put some kind of pneumatic piston that I could
use one of those click-style latches with where the screen would pop up ~55
degrees. smile.gif

Now if you put a box with a cheap fresnel in it, you can have a 100 inch tv on your ceiling. HAHAHAHA

I'd be worried about spills, but if you are to use clear silicon on all the seams, it should be good.

i use to run a store and I did that in the register counter with a sheet of tempered glass covering it, was mostly used for looking shik up.
but yours looks much nicer than mine did. (much much nicer)
