Forgive the newb question, but... With a gain of 1.0, is this pretty much equal to a wall painted white? So I'm paying $35 for my wife to not get mad at me for ruining one of "her" walls? dry.gif laugh.gif

Also... In your opinion, would this be better or worse than a BlackOut cloth screen, speaking strictly about performance, not convenience.

Thanks for posting this deal!

It would probably be better than BOC. Some people report BOC to have a gain less than 1.

Don't mean to hijack, but is it true a white wall has a gain of approx 1 (equal to or more than BOC)? I may end up projecting on the outside white wall of a house and am trying to decide whether a BOC screen would give any boost in performance.

i saw that woot this morning (gotta love w00t!!!)

I almost got one but my projection is too big (i'd like at least a 96")

anybody throwing a 76" image should buy this screen before they sell out!! at $30 + $5 shipping you can't beat it

Even if someone is accustomed to a larger image in their "theater room," they could grab one of these, even just for testing in the shop, or setting up in the living room or den for game day, or to bring along to someone's house for gaming or flicks (this assumes you have some portable way of holding it up...)

You should build your PJ into a pickup bed! throw in this screen and you'd rock any tail gate party you go to biggrin.gif (assuming its a night game tongue.gif )

I would have to guess (haveing never seen BOC... or this screen) that this screen would be better. Probably very competitively priced too! BOC will probably realisticly cost at least ~$15, put in black borders for at least ~$5, and $10 of wood. Pay yourself $1 per hour for the 6 hours spent building your DIY screen and you've spent the same amount of money...

The convienience and WAF is just a bonus!
