I'm going to do this build with a 18" triplet since I am very excited about starting the project.

Will I run into issues tossing the PRO Lens in once I get it?

Its supposed to ship this month? Are they shipping yet?

thanks.

yes you can order just a pro triplet, although its the same price as the entire kit since the kit $50 off.

I don't foresee any problems as long as you allow for enough adjustability. the pro triplet will need to be placed further from the LCD than the 18"

according to the store, its shipping. the kit looks to be on reserve because they're out of pro fresnels.

is there a significant difference between the pro lens and fresnel vs. the regular $60 one? I'm just starting out, and i don't have an extravagant amount of funds, but i might buy the pro stuff if it's really really worth it?....so, is the quality amazing enough to buy the pro vs. the regular? i'm a newbie, so i don't know.

It's not all about quality.

The Pro kit is for 17-19" Lcd's and the standard kit is for 15" Lcd's and smaller.

The Pro kit allows you to put the projector farther back because it has a longer throw 1.5:1 whereas the standard kit has a 1:1 throw.

That said the Pro triplet is larger which allows more of the lights arc through allowing for a bit more brightness. But your box has to be about 8-10" longer for the Pro Kit.
