I was wondering if there was any hope for using this old 2x2 slide projector as a base or for parts for this project. It has a working fan, 400 watt MH bulb, a Coated Anastigmat f 3.5 4 inch projector lens, 2 other lenses between the bulb and where a 2x2 slide would go. Found it for $15, so I though, eh, why not pick it up and possibly cut some costs. If it's not useful, I can always return it.

I'd love to give a picture of the set-up, but I can't seem to figure out how. :-\ Sorry, when I go to add picture, it's asking for a URL and the pics are on my comp, not another website. Sorry. really new to forums.

Your old slide projector could be fun to use with a 2.5 inch LCD to make a projector (this one has qvga resolution, as good as a PSOne LCD screen) EBay High Resolution 2.5" inch TFT/LCD Monitor w/buildin SPK and stick a rosco hot mirror Rosco Permacolor Glass Filter - Hot Mirror in between the two lenses after the bulb to protect the LCD from heat. If it really does use large format 2X2 slides and you decide that you want to go for more resolution and won't be able to use it, post it in the trading post and I'll buy it from you.
