The best way to approach this is to spend a week or two just reading. you will find tons of useful information pinned at the top of every single forum. once you understand the basics, head over to the project log forum and take a peek at everyone's built for more design ideas, stripping guides, and individual plans.

to find the right LCD, look at that monitor list, and at everyones 15" project log to see what stripped easily.
