Would I be correct if i said I can run one of the new lumenlab bulbs on a m135 ballast? If so, do remove the ignitor from my circuit or leave it there?

Thanks

would be correct, however, it will start much easier with an M59 ballast. you could probably sell your m135, buy an m59, and actually make money since they are less expensive smile.gif

I don't know stink about ignitors blink.gif tongue.gif

Hmm, well I'm from Aurstralia so i have a limited supply, and they dont go by the M135 and M59 codes. Infact the ballast i have, I assumed it's an M135 because it says 'For Metal Halide: Use in conjuction with suitable ignitor.'

eBallast makes things easier. Then it doesn't matter WHICH 400W MH lamp you have. smile.gif wink.gif

Does your M135 have one large plastic cap and one small thing with three wires on it? The small thing with three wires is the ignitor. A M135 ballast should not start a standard MH lamp. You can un hook the ignitor just to see what happends, no harm will be done to the lamp.

The M59 and M135 are almost exactly alike execpt for the starting fo the lamp.

The M135 will run the lamp fine but I have never seen a standard MH lamp that said it was OK.

Maybe a google on M135 and standard MH?

If your talking about the capacitor and ignitor, no I had to buy them seperately. I don't think I will bother, I'll just buy a 4000k Pulse-start since I have the ballast, probably easier for me anyway. smile.gif
