Hi folks,

Has anyone found a way, like you can in Windows, to set an external LCD display to (say) 720x576 and not have it resized up to the LCD's native resolution? That is, display the 720x576 in the middle of the screen with black surrounds?

Quicktime Player can give this effect, but it's not an ideal player for MPEG-2 or some variants of divx/xvid, and doesn't always support 5.1 audio output either. VLC is much better...

There is this utility for fiddling with resolutions, but I think it still resizes them: http://www.3dexpress.de/
