I have a specific urge to get my PC to connect to my projector from another room. It just so happens that this computer is roughly 50ft away. Is there a way to get USB to go farther than 16ft? I figured it would be cool to be able to type, play games, put my racing wheel to use

, etc. on the projector.
Well... what I usually do when I need a quick and dirty really long cable:
Get a really long
CAT5 cable and splice in the connectors I need. I'm already
using this for 1 50ft composite and 1 50ft RCA to 1/8" stereo cable. I plan
on making those two into a VGA cable once I get the monitor all set up.
The twisted pairs tend to shield it a bit from noise and stuff, you just end
up getting signal degradation that far. Although I've never tried USB, this
thing here leads me to believe that it's not that odd of a solution.
