help,
i've set up the optics (no lcd in yet) in my projector and fired up the light. i focus my triplet lens, and the light shining on the screen seems to be a largish point with rings around it - not an even spread of light at all.

do i have my fresnels in the wrong way? the ringed sides are facing out on both sides, toward the light on the light side of the lcd and toward the triplet on the triplet side.

i am using a pro lens triplet, a 550 front fresnel and a 220 back fresnel. i have my lamp placed exactly 220mm away from the back fresnel.

any advice is appreciated.

thanks,
kevin

The grooves should face the Lcd.
