Full Version: Has Anyone Tried Contacting Da-lite Or Some Similar Company Directly?

Just got my projector "done", (it's watchable, I still have alot of work to do), and am now looking into screens.

I barrowed a DA-LITE type screen (made by Kodak actually) as a test tonight, and the picture looks great. It is way too small though. I need a 8'x11' foot sheet of that material.

Has anyone tried contacting the manufacturer directly and tried to buy it straight from them "raw"? I'm sure someone has.

I'm going to try tomorrow. I'm an architect and manufacturer's usually throw samples at us for free to try to get us to spec their product. I probably won't get a free 8x11 "sample", but I bet I could find someone to sell me something at cost.

Has anyone tried this?

In the past I dealt with da-lite directly through their website. Now they don't sell through their website anymore, rather direct you to the nearest dealer.

They probably don't wan't to compete with their dealer/distributors, but if you find something that size cheap LET ME KNOW!!
