Hi, i've purchased the Lumen Lab starter kit and have created a projector....i have put 2 slots in the top of my box.....and am using the fan that comes with the package....though i am having severe over heating problems and my Fresnel's are melting/morphing creating a whacked out picture. i was thinking about looking into some type of LED light that would be equivalent to the luminosity of the metal halide.....anywho, i would definatly appreciate help with this!, i've been waiting to use my projector again for months!......also, is there a way to make my picture sharper?....i don't understand the removal of the thin layer on top of the LCD, should i give it a try?

And in regards to the fresnels melting/warping... just make sure you haven't got them held too tight. They need room to expand with the heat they absorb.

What you're talking about is called "antiglare removal" here. I would say definately give it a try, but not before reading a ton about it. It has a very high failure rate for first trys (I failed in one way or another twice, second time wasn't as bad). It's pretty much accepted that the improvements are worth it if done correctly, but if you attempt it and you end up breaking your LCD you may think differently...

Just do a google search for the following...
attempt (antiglare OR AG) +removal site:www.lumenlab.com
