hello guys, im from mexico city, im a begginer and i have a doubt

i found a website in a forum where is explained how to make your psone screen can be plugged in your pc

http://tidder.rudyatek.com/lcd/index.htm

but when was doing it, i found a white screen behind the lcd dark screen (the glass one), and i didnt know what to do whit the white screen, i mean, do i have to put or to remove the screen to make my projector?, can you tell me what happens if i use an halogen lamp, and do you think psone screen is a good one for a medium quality projector?, hope you can help me answering my questions, thanks

Its under "Completed Project" called Psone Project - Pdf. (In case the link doesn't work) its pretty detailed with some other links attached (including the PSone hack) and a few resolution shots of the finished product. If you get everything at a reasonable price, its a worthwhile project for a smaller projector.

Yeah, bitphaarked's right about that thread.

But I think this is mydiazclan's original:

And here's the PDF YOU NEED (this will help the most):

Here's another PSONE PJ build:

And another (this one has nice clear pictures and the builder, TESCORP, who builds DIY PJs for a living now is actually using mydiazclan's (the pdf guy)'s plans to build one):

But if you want a really straight answer, the white screen you're talking about is I BELEIVE (and beware because I'm a noob so don't hold me accountable) used to distribute the backlight light evenly accross the LCD. All you need is the LCD which looks like tinted glass and the controller boards.

And if you've taken a look at the links above and the PDF you'll see a psone PJ is nice and can look really good. Personally, I'm in the process of making a small PJ off of a 7" portable dvd player.
