Got this this morning and like I had "GULLIBLE" written on my forehead, I jumped on it.

Entered my PayPal ID and Password,

minute later before entering my Credit Card info (x2) and bank checking account number to "VERIFY" this was me. Stopped, and looked at the links on the E-mail to see where they went. Went to some IP address first then to a fake paypal site. NONE went to https://Paypal.com/us

So I jumped on paypal and changed all of my info. I included an image of the E-mail (circled the spelling errors in red)

Paypal requires you to log in if you havent been active for several minutes. Sometimes when you make a transaction, and you get distracted, you will have to log back in to complete what you were doing. Ebay has a spoof@ebay email account to forward these scams to their attention. I would bet that paypal has the same kind of set up. But a good warning is never use the link on an email that would request any personal info.

i had a similar email a few months ago, but it was from ebay. they pretty much stated the same thing.. they wanted me to click on a link ( which was kinda like a ip address ) and verify my personal info to prove i was who i was..

and they also wanted my credit card info!!!!

figured it was some kind of scam and ignored it, got 2 or 3 more since but just ignored them too..

anyone else get something like this?
