Hey! My friend and I found this site a few weeks ago and have built a few things. Here is a few photos of our speaker stands....

The supply list
1. (1) 8x10x1 piece of wood
2. (1) 10x10x1 piece of wood
3. (2) 3" 10' PVC Pipe
4. (3) 6' 3/8" Threaded rod
5. (1) Box of 24 3/8" bolts

Grand total 36.27
-Note: For whatever reason, they did not charge us for the rod. I'm not sure how that happened blink.gif

---------

Tools

Circular Saw (For wood)
Miter-box Saw (Cutting the PVC)
Grinder (Hand saw works too)
Pliers (Some of the bolts are hard to get on)
Drill-press (Insures clean holes. A 3/8", and 1" bit also)
Sunglasses (Keeps Sparks out of your eyes when grinding)
Baseball Bat (Named Mr.Happy - Keeps slackers in line)

^^ Circular Saw after all the cuts. BTW I had enough for about 10 of the footers.

^^ Miter-box Saw

^^Hardcore grinding. Shoes optional but I recommend them

^^ 2 knots look like a chicken

What is the stand going to look like?

Here's one I built.

1 - 4 foot 1 3/8" wooden dowell rod
3 - black shelf braces
1 - small abount of black paint to paint the dowell rod.

Total cost - about $10.

I pulled it out so you could see the feet, normally when stuck back in the corner, you just see the pole sticking up. blink.gif

Good luck on your stand.
