just purchased the guide today. i have been reading alot of the forums and was wondering what "ffc" is referring to and which lcd would be the one to get.

FFC = Flat Fexible Cable.
a stiff, usually short, wide wire group that binds the LCD to a control board. Often it causes the control board to be stuck in front of the LCD panel, resulting in a loss of some of the panel when used for our purposes.
there is a list of user-found-good panels in the protected forum for you to look at when you have access.
//edit: though there are many people who use extensions to those cables to eliminate the problem

ok thanks for the info. paid with echeck so wont clear till wednesday. just have to wait till then to get started. looks like a cool adventure to take.
