I hope to do a temp setup and burn in my bulb this weekend. I haven’t stripped my monitor or cut my intake air slot in my box. I want to put off stripping a little longer. What I would like to do is set everything up and use an image of some kind to set my bulb, fresnels and triplet at the correct distances etc., and then locate the perfect spot for my intake air slot.

This is possible right?

I think I have ran across something like this before here.

Will I be able to get a good focused image to imitate the LCD and all the distances be very close or exactly what I would need for the LCD? I’m a little worried my box may be about ½” too short, so I want to test it the best I can to see if I need to extend the box.

Would printing out one of those calibration images onto a transparency and hanging it between my fresnels be a good way to do this?
