I have a retail projector hitachi cp-rs55 huh.gif

now when i change the bulb i start to get a think bright royal blue color from the edge and then it fades in ohmy.gif

I followed the manual for replacing the bulb and it tells you to turn it upside down(this is what i think caused it)

This is my second 1 the 1st one got really bad after time with bright blue blobs all over the picture but my warrenty is up now and i have a small bit of blue right at the bottom

I was told that something might have been knocked out of alignment but im not sure that is the case ohmy.gif

Any help appreciated thanks wink.gif

I had something similar happen with my panasonic ae-700. Turns out it was the blue lcd which was failing. It started as a blue smear which would spread across the screen just as yours is.

Are the Blue LCD panels expensive or did you get it fixed free cause it sounds like the same prob i have biggrin.gif

My warrenty was up, and the panel replacement was 279.99. That and a replacement bulb being rediculously expensive is what started me on DIY.
