I'm going to use my pj to play a lot of games but will also watch TV/movies sometimes. Trying to decide between 2 monitors:

I've searched the forums and both seem to be pretty easy to strip and no FFC issues.
So from what I can tell it boils down to is:
The BenQ FP51G has a very nice 12ms response time but "only" 400:1
The HP L1506 has a higher 16ms but 450:1

Both have 250 cd/m2 and both seem to have decent reviews.
I'm not smart enough on this subject to know which is the better choice, so any opinions are appreciated biggrin.gif

(I'm not necessarily going to buy it from newegg so don't go by their prices, even though there's only a $10 difference... after you wait 6 months for newegg to send the rebate that is unsure.gif )

cd/m2 is a measure of brightness, mainly a function of the backlight which will be removed, so this doesn't come into play. Personally I would go with the 12ms for gaming. 16ms is on the edge.. some perform ok, others in this range do not. You likely will not be able to tell a difference in contrast unless two identical PJs were side by side.
