The napkin ring IKEA reflector was popular a little while back. I used it with good results... and they are very inexpensive...

Basically any spherically shaped bowl will do the trick. You want to find one without a flat spot at the bottom as this will cause a hotspot on your projection, but it is also the hardest thing to find in a "bowl". Mostly you can look at kitchen shops for "spherical" moulds used for cooking, but they tend to be a bit expensive. One of the most popular was the NorPro Bowl, but they are no longer sold, but there are similar things out there. People are using ladles as they have a good spherical shape, but you must be sure to get one big enough so that it shines light back over the entire area of the screen. Too big is ok, but too small, and you'll have dimmer edges on your screen.

Hope this helps.

Found some round-bottom stainless steel bowls with mirror finish. Todd English Stainless Mixing Bowl Set .

It is a set of three of different sizes, but figure out which one will work for you and score some points with the lady in your life by giving her the other two. The set only comes with two ring stands anyway.

why don't you want to use the pro reflector? It's going to work better than any polished bowl, especially with a t15 bulb.

well appearantly when i was looking at the parts I misread the price of it. I was trying to find a cheap alternative solution as I have a limited budget but I guess 14.99 isnt bad.
