I just received the 22"EFL lens I won off ebay, but was surprised when I pulled it out of the box. I assumed it would be one of the 5 1/4" diameter monsters that the 18" ones are. It wasnt, its diameter is 4 1/2. Still slightly larger than the pro lens but not what I expected. From those who have has 22" lens', is this common or did I end up with something unusual?

This 22" won't be cheap, even if you get it at what its going at right now, but it is a 22" one. http://cgi.ebay.com/Beseler-Vu-Lyte-vintag...bayphotohosting
100$ min. if no one bids on it. smile.gif Good luck!

And this 18" is also expensive, but here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/SPOTLIGHT-Opaque-PROJE...1QQcmdZViewItem

Since the topic is 22" lenses

What is the best combination of lenses to be used with a 17" and 15" LCD's coupled with 22" triplet ?

15" LCD -> 220 Col - 550 Field
17" LCD -> 330 Col - 650 Field

Is this about right ?

Does anyone use a 550 fresnel with 17"LCD / 22" Lens ?

The front fresnel will always match the triplet so the longer 22" fl triplet will be best with the 650mm fresnel. In fact the 650 is a little short for the 22".

I would go with the 330/600mm combo and this might leave room for a condenser lens.

If you plan on a 15" you will have a vary long throw to long for most setups.

A 15" and a 450mm triplet is a better match unless your room is 18" long.

How about a 20" Efl lens.

I've never seen this one.

So why is a 330/600mm better than the 220/600mm when using a 22" lens? To extend the light cone further into the triplet?
