Here's a simple question. How dow do most people mount their lcd panel, frensels, and tempered glass inside their projector box?

Take a look in the PLOG section. Most people detail their solutions there.

I personally used the frame that the LCD monitor came with, I found that to be a good method. For the glass/fresnels I think most people either use a groove or blocks to hold them in place. Window screen frame (rotated so that the groove faces inward) works well for those.

I'll probably go with the window screen frame myself. I've read where people say you need to leave a little room for the glass/fresnels/lcd to expand/contract. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Think it'd be alright to just slide the glass into the window screen frame, and as long as its somewhat tight just let it ride like that?

Do you use silicon or anything to keep your glass/fresnels "tight" or do they just sit in the frame (and give a little?) ... Just trying to figure out the best way to build my frames. Hopefully the answers will help bjkaeter too cool.gif

I left some room where the glass/fresnels could move, but only a few mm.
