I was thinking about how I would connect various devices to my projector and switch between them easily. One possibility that I came across was a KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch, some of which are pretty inexpensive. I found previously that when I would connect multiple VGA cables together, it would cause ghosting issues. I'm not sure if it was due to a cheap cable or not, but I was wondering if this would be a viable solution? Also, would the el-cheapo (the ones I'm looking at tongue.gif) varieties found on eBay cause these issues? The main issue that I just thought of would be how I would synchonize the audio with the video once I switch devices. Sounds like I would need another device for that too .

You could get ghosting if there isn't proper isolaution I'd be surpise if didn't provide this as a KVM. Cheap video switchs are pretty rare, I've seen some HDTV switchers for $1200 and other than needing a higher bandwidth swicth there is nothing to make it cost more than $50

KVMs don't usually have that problem, because instead of splitting the signal
you're actually switching from one signal to the other. But, as with all cheap
things, there may be issues... you just never know until you get it.

"Ghosting" has more to do with the impedance of the wire. So to me it sounds more like a wire issue than a switcher issue. I see it's an old topic, just thought I'd add that for anyone else interested.
