I put together a basic projector using an OHP and a 15" Viewsonic V150 Lcd screen. It was working fine a week ago, then today when I turned it on, I have lost about 2-3 inches of pixels on the right side. When I change the resolution to 600x800 the whole panel works again, but putting it to 1024x768 a vertical bar of pixels on one side go dark. Is this a software, video card, or have I messed up the controller board somehow? Any way to fix it?

Thanks,

I saw something very similar a few weeks ago. I had the screen here and we tried it on a few different PCs and couldn't get it to work properly. It had digital and analog input and would only work full screen on low resolutions, switching to high res would kill 1/3 of the screen.

Seems to be in the LCD controller somewhere. Good luck, but I think it's dead.

Does it just need to be "auto" adjusted? Just like CRTs; LCDs need to be adjusted to fill the available pixels. Luckily most LCDs have an automatic adjustment button to do this for you.
