So I'm sitting at work with a brand new N6, counting down the hours till I get off. I have one question though. Should I purchase the component cables for my Xbox now. I was curious if it will make that much of a difference. Twenty dollars isn't much, but knowing the the N6 upscales is it worth it. If somoene would let me know it would be great. Just can't wait to play Halo, or watch progressive scan dvd with Xbox. ** For those with modded xbox, you need to patch your dvd player/games xbe files in order to output wiht progressive scan ** patch can be found at www.xbox-scene.com
thanks

yes, get the Hi-def AV pack. It is well worth the money, it gives you a huge improvement. I have it for my Xbox on the projector, works great.

Fools! RF adaptors is the only way to get the TRUE picture. No other picture transmission gives you the grain, the softness, the realism of an analogue TV broadcast.
Component is for rice burners! RF is what men use!
Or just run it through your VCR and use that to output to true beautiful RF out!
Been realistic though, Component should be nice, I have an xbox but haven't got any means of comparing it to a component connection. It sucks that microsfot didn't let it do progressive scan DVD out of the box, since it would've be really quite trivial. I have heard about the mod chips, but I hear they aren't that good at doing it. HTPC is prolly be best way to go to get good progressive. AFAIK no one around here sells DVD players with VGA out.
