Right, so I'm building my projector and I'm thinking, might need some speakers, might need a sub, etc etc.

So I just decided that I will make a budget home theater.

I've noticed these HT Plog's move slowly, but when they do move they get pretty exciting, so hear goes.

Currently Own:
  • Near finished projector
  • Computer

On Lay-by:
  • 3 2x80 watt amplifiers
They were on special so it worked out cheaper then a reciever, plus I dont need video switching and things like that.

Need to buy:
[list]
[*]6 speakers (going to have two center speakers because I have chosen my active sub}
[*]1 Active subwoofer
[*]Budget graphics card (looking into a Radeon 9550, any suggestions here for an AGP card would be appreciated)
[*]Some sort of screen
[*]And finally a TV Tuner card

I'm not sure about what application/operating system I will have. I can't really try that many out because I have an onboard graphics card so my computer freezes without the video acceleration.

You can check for an ATI All-in-wonder X800 card. It is AGP, it comes with a TV tuner and software for that kind of stuff, and of course you can play games with it. So..you kill two birds with one shot, and save space inside your HTPC
