Where can one obtain the 15.4" WUXGA screens?

I have been hunting through the forums and it seems that Minoten was doing group buys for these but no longer is. http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4203

are they available on ebay? through some online source? as parts for laptops?

any help would be greatly appreciated - even if it's to point to a place in the forums....

You can buy them new various places on the net, they're usually about $350+. Just search for Laptop LCD or something like that on google.

Other than that, they're almost always available on eBay for about $225+, finding one that's a Sharp is the hard part though, very few auction descriptions include the brand.

Heres the only eBay auction for a 15.4 wuxga sharp lcd at the moment......probrably. Get it while it's there.
I think you should PM and find out the model # exactly because the picture ends in W1,.......it should probrably be the LQ154MILW12 model..........

Yeah, I've seen that auction before, it's weird. The seller has a link to the spec sheet, which also lists the model as ******W1, which I didn't know existed.

I would bet it would work, but since the model number is a lil' funny, and the seller doesn't list any dell computers as being compatible; I opted to take my chances with the other sellers. So what I did is found everyone selling WUXGA panels and asked if they knew which brand panel they have for sale. Only one person responded (at the time) and they happend to have Sharps.
If you'd like to see that seller's current listings click here or search out the user " rkpaintings " and ask if (s)he has any more sharps for sale, and maybe if you can reserve one or something.

did you get a chance to try it with the winmate G2A R2H before it broke?

Well it worked fine with my controller from the 3rd Minoten group buy.
