I just received my bulb from atlantalightbulbs and noticed a few glass chips inside the bulb. The chips aparently came off a glass shielding around some metal.

Would this affect the bulb at all? I would like some opinions before I decide to test it or just get a replacement.

Thanks.

It's normal, and should be completely fine. All of my lights seem to have some glass like that. But, if it doesn't work right away, then call them. they are good about refunds.

Thanks. First build limited funds.

Just trying to keep accidents, mishaps, fires, and deaths down to a minimum.

[Edit: Just fired it up. Works great!!]

I wouldn't call it normal. (normal would be 'not' broken)

but, it will be just fine and won't effect operation of the lamp.

cheers,
