The nvidia geforce2 mx 400 supports dual view according to their website (meaning yes you can use both displays), but thet also say to vertify based on the manufacturer of the card. (Nvidia only makes the chipsets, not the actual video cards) Can you list the card manufacturer and the model # off the box, or card itself ?

hey i got one of those cards, surprisingly i still use it from middle school. I dont do graphic intensive stuff so its good for just about anything short of WoW and Battlefield.
Bout 2 years ago i was running dual monitors with it and another pci graphics card. I think if you have the same card as I do it has only one vga output so you will need another card. When i first tried to do vga and onboard it wouldnt let me. Gluck.

I don't have the same card you have but I have the same outputs and i have my PJ and comp monitor hooked to the same card. The only issue I think you would have would be if you used overlay. You can only have one overlay source. I use Zoomplayer pro and VMR9 instead of overlay and it works great.

I was using a Geforce2 MX 400 32mb up until about a year ago

it was fine for all games up until dx9 games like riddick, q4, doom 3, etc. Played games like q3, farcry excellently

Good card, I have still a 64mb version. Mind you, stock up on 40mm fans, the stock fan dies quickly.

Make sure both monitors are connected and go into the display settings. This can be done by right clicking on the desktop and clicking properties. Go into the settings tab. You may be able to see a setting in there that allows you to activate both monitors. If not, you may need to click on the advanced button in there. If you cannot figure this out, PM me and I will give you my IM address. MSN in the best for me because it has a feature called Remote Assistance that will allow me to see your screen and tell you what to do. I can also use it to take over the mouse and fix things myself. The user can always just press Esc to disconnect me.
Anyway, I have dualscreen and I LOVE it. Great for school work when I need to analyze multiple Docs. I also love it becasue I have little programs on the 2nd screen that will give me data about the game I am playing. I also have an old 2nd screen on my dell which I have constantly connected to another computer with remote desktop. Woot to dual screen.
