Hello,
I found this advertisement on the net.
One of the companies is called linconmobile.
you may see on the page, no pop-up!
http://en.malkiobyavi.com/ads/dir.php?p=li...om_rubrique=GSM

They sell cell phones, cameras, ipods at a very very attractive price. They said the products are real, brand new in box and from factaries directly, so the price is so low.
I wrote an email to some of them, they all told me to pay via WESTERN UNION.
Did anyone try this before? Is it a scam???
But I searched in alilbaba.com, a sourcing site, I found the company.
I just wonder if they are real or not. Please help.
thanks~ sad.gif

If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is...Always be wary of sending money to overseas accounts unless you can gaurantee protection. Western Union is used by a lot of scammers because they are easy to exploit.

So you save a few bucks? If someone came up to you and said "hey I can remove all worry and doubt over your phone for 30 dollars", would you do it?

How much is your time worth?

Okay....Long explanation:

I want a phone. So I hunt through the ads and find a model I like. Then I try to cheap out by going through a suspicious online marketer.

So maybe I save 50-60 dollars. But did I really?

Hunting down the net provider took some time. Maybe an hour. Thats 30 dollars right there. Then you have the time to move funds etc, plus the wait. Then the hassle of getting it set up with your provider...Easily another hour. Then what happens if it breaks? You didnt buy locally so you have no options except to send it back to the factory...Long wait there.
All of which could have been easily avoided by buying locally, supporting your economy and getting to spend more time doing the things you like...If you shop carefully around town, you can get similar prices.

So with the very little free time I have, I have to ask myself: Do I want to waste three hours getting a questionable deal, or do I just want to work an hour of overtime and get some peace of mind?

How much is your time worth to you?
See what I mean? Lowest price isnt always the best price.

I understood the second part of your statement, but not how "So you save a few bucks?" applied to the statement of mine you quoted. I see now that you probably just hit "reply smile.gif

What he's trying to say is the savings worth the risk? If its a scam you lose your meney and then need to pay full price, even if its real there is risk stress and extra time involved in getting the phone to work with a different phone network than it was originally purchased for (the phone companies make it difficult to use phones other than the ones they sell you. So is all this worth $50 savings? If you buy the phone from the carrier it will work immediately and they will fix any problems or you could save money for extra effort. Probably cheaper to buy the standard way.
