I am new to building LCD projectors, but not new to DIY projects. I recently bought an optiquest 17" Q7 lcd display and was wondering if it will be too big for the Mega Projector Kit that I have on order. I can hopefully return it and get a 15" if need be. And, if I can keep the 17", isn't it worth it, considering the improved resolution?

If you can afford it, the pro setup is your best bet. If you're tight on $$ then you can get a set of 220 and 330 lenses from 3dlens.com that are large enough to cover the 17" LCD. It doesn't produce an optimal image, but it is quite acceptable.
