Hey guys. So far I've purchased pretty much everything for my standard 15" setup. I'm going to be using the simple projector plans in the reference section. My question is, how should I modify these plans for a non-electronic ballast? I notice that in the plans the electronic ballast is tucked neatly on the side. I'm using an ushio sd400 bulb and a S51 ballast.

Any suggestions?

A standard ballast is way heavier than an electronic ballast but other than that you should be able to squirrel it in somehow. Be aware that all ballasts get hot and you should plan for being able to keep your ballast cool. Depending on your build particulars you may or may not need active cooling for the ballast. Hope that helps.

Check out my Plog, I placed the old style mag-ballast in a separate box below the main projector box.
